The children have enjoyed some adventurous activities on site with the Shadwell Basin
Outdoor Activity Centre.
The climbing programme has been designed to introduce a new skill, improve hand to
eye co-ordination and increase fitness. Team building, sharing, and caring have
also played important roles. The children were able to explore their potential and
increase confidence through games and challenges.
Bell Boating and Rafted Canoeing on Shadwell Basin has been a great success. The
children are learning new skills and have progressed from the Bell Boats to Rafted
Physical Education stimulates healthy growth and development and builds strong bones
and muscles. It provides the opportunity to develop fundamental movement skills.
It also improves concentration and thinking skills, relieves stress, promotes
relaxation and improves sleep. Building confidence and self-esteem come with enjoyment,
play and participation.
Here are the children getting ready to play Tennis in King Edward Memorial Park which
is just behind our school.
